Utzon Centre

The Utzon Centre, located on the Aalborg waterfront, was Jørn Utzon’s final project. As a boy, his playground was the Lim Fjord and Aalborg shipyard. The striking and playful roof forms signal the dynamic meeting place at the School of Architecture. Linear LED light fittings, concealed in the roof parapet, throw even, warm light onto the metal-deck roofing, accentuating its soft curves and luminosity.

Steensen Varming extends respect to all Traditional Custodians throughout Australia and the world acknowledging the vital importance of their culture, language and lore in keeping the land, waters, seas and community strong. We walk together humbly, acknowledging care and respect should always be present.
