In December 2016 the, Utzon Centre displayed the result of a collaborative effort between SOM and Steensen Varming to produce: a 7 metres (23 ft.) tall Christmas tree in the Utzon Centre courtyard built from the famous Peter Lassen GRID.
“Stepping into the middle of a Christmas tree and getting that different and, in some ways, mind-bending experience of space and design, is not something you can experience elsewhere in Denmark,” – Lasse Andersson, creative director, Utzon Centre.
