The Bankstown CBD Civic Precinct Lighting masterplan is a fundamental part of the Bankstown City Council’s renewal and revitalisation plan, aiding with development of the CBD to become a major centre within Sydney and aligning with the objectives for cultural development including the City’s unique identity and sense of community.
Using existing infrastructure, the previous oval flood lighting has been replaced with interactive projections on the ground, creating various patterns and colours, controllable by the community. Through this simple measure the lighting has transformed the oval and CBD overall during the night and created a unique night-time identity.
