SINSW Southern Suburbs Cluster

The Southern Suburbs Cluster comprises of two individual projects to be delivered as part of School Infrastructure’s delivery initiative of Design for Manufacture and Assemble (DfMA). The two projects within this cluster are Gulyangarri Public School and Liverpool West Public School.

Gulyangarri Public School
New school for 1,200 students, providing 20 teaching spaces, 4 special education teaching spaces, 4 special programs rooms, a hall, library and covered outdoor learning area (COLA), and a public preschool with capacity for up to 40 children per day. Gulyangarri Public School opened on Day 1 of Term 1 2024.

Liverpool West Public School
The redevelopment of this existing school was delivered in two stages. The first stage delivered 16 new flexible teaching spaces, 4 new special program rooms, a new hall, COLA, and library. Stage two delivered a further 28 teaching spaces, 4 new support rooms, 2 preschool rooms and a refurbished space for the exciting preschool, new landscaped play areas, a basketball court and a bushtucker garden. Liverpool West Public School Stage 2 was open for use on Day 1 of Term 1 2024.

Steensen Varming delivered mechanical and electrical engineering (including VT and lighting design) and ESD services on the two schools.
